Erica Fye

Erica was born and raised in New York. Her parents got saved when she was seven, and a year later she gave her heart and life to Christ. At a young age she felt a call to be a missionary, but she thought it was just “some crazy dream.”

Erica ministered to people in NYC on various occasions, and she did some work with underprivileged children and orphans in Toronto, Canada through a youth congress when she was in high school. Still, she went through a period of rebellion in her teenage years and thought the Lord could never use her again. The Lord, however was not limited by her failures. His grace was sufficient to restore he life back to him.

Erica became actively involved in her church in Poughkeepsie, NY helping out with the high school youth group and discipling teenage girls. She also would frequently go street witnessing. In 2005, God opened the door for Erica to go to Nairobi on a short-term mission trip through Far Reaching Ministries. Her heart was stirred as she heard about the atrocities going on in Northern Uganda. God opened the door once again in 2006 for Erica to go to Uganda where God confirmed His calling upon her life. He has given her a heart for the exploited children, the orphans, and those whose lives have been ravaged by sin and sickness.

Erica realizes that her life is a testimony to God’s grace and power. He chooses the foolish things, the insignificant things, the broken things to do His will and to display His glory. Erica’s desire is to be a vessel of honor for the Lord, to take up her cross and find abundant life in the plans God has for her. Her desire and her passion is to reach the hurting and the lost with the love that Jesus has for them, to bring glory to the One who has captured her heart and changed her life.

” The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the LORD loves you…” Deuteronomy 7:7-8a

” Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things–and the things that are not–to nullify the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-30

” But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
